# It remembers, so you do not repeat yourself.

> What SAAM learns about you is kept as plain notes you can open. Skills are recipes it can follow again: write one, ask for one, or show it once on its computer.

Status: Live.

## What it does

- Saves preferences, plans and people as notes, for one agent or shared.
- Lets you read, edit, delete and download every note.
- Follows skills you wrote, asked for, or taught by showing it once.

## How to start

- Say remember this, or open an agent's Knowledge panel to see its Memory and Skills.
- To use a skill, type a slash in the message box and pick it.

## Limits

- Memory is a built-in note store. Smarter recall services are not switched on.
- Skills belong to you, not to everyone.
- A note is only as good as what was said. Read it, and fix it when it is wrong.

## Notes in plain words.

SAAM saves what it learns as ordinary notes: how you like things done, who is who, what you decided last time. Nothing is hidden in a black box.

Next time you ask, the right notes are in front of it, so your asks get shorter.

## Read it, fix it, delete it, take it with you.

Open an agent's Knowledge panel and choose Memory.

- Read: Every note, in order, in words you wrote or SAAM wrote down.
- Edit: Correct a detail or add one. Changes are kept as revisions.
- Delete: Remove a note, or ask SAAM to forget it.
- Download: Take all of it as a markdown file whenever you like.

## Per agent, or shared.

By default each agent keeps its own notes, so the Travel agent does not read the Home agent's. In Settings, Memory, you can switch the default to shared, and everything your agents learn goes in one place.

## Teach it once. It follows the recipe.

A skill is a short recipe: the steps for a job you do the same way each time. Weekly shop, trip planning, a reply to the school office.

Call one from the message box with a slash. SAAM follows the steps instead of working it out again.

## Write it, ask for it, or show it.

Skills are saved for you and kept apart from other people's.

- 1. Write it: Open the Skills tab in an agent's Knowledge panel and type the steps in plain words.
- 2. Ask for it: Tell SAAM what you keep repeating and ask it to save that as a skill.
- 3. Show it: Open its computer, press Teach a task and do the job once on SAAM's computer. It drafts the skill, you review it, test it and save.

## What it does not do.

Memory is simple on purpose, and it helps to know where it stops.

- A built-in note store: Notes are kept in a plain store. An optional smarter recall service exists in the product, and it is not switched on.
- Not mind-reading: SAAM remembers what it was told or saw in a chat. If a note is wrong, it will use the wrong note until you fix it.
- Skills are personal: A skill you save is yours. It does not appear for other people.
- Taught skills need its computer: Showing a job to SAAM runs on its own computer, so the computer limits apply.
